The Telephone Directory System replaced the Electronic White Pages (EWP) mainframe application in October 2004. The system enables police to identify names and addresses allocated to particular phone numbers, verify the addresses of detained suspects and clarify the details of callers to police emergency telephone operations. Access to the system is on a fee for service basis.
